Skaret by Vander has opened in central Tromsø with 147 modern apartments. The project responds to growing demand for apartment-style accommodation among travellers visiting Northern Norway.
Skaret by Vander is located in the Pellerinkvartalet development in the centre of Tromsø. The apartment hotel introduces 147 units designed for guests seeking the flexibility of apartment living combined with professional hospitality services.
The property opened on 1 February as the final stage of the Pellerinkvartalet development. The district has been developed by the real estate company Pellerin and covers approximately 17,000 square metres.
Development of the quarter started in 2016 with a total investment of around NOK 600 million. Skaret by Vander represents the final part of the project.
“We are proud to present a new district in Tromsø where, together with our partners, we have created solutions for customers with architecture and sustainability at a high level.”
— Eirik Espejord, CEO, Pellerin
Skaret by Vander adds new accommodation capacity to the city and reflects a broader shift toward apartment-based stays that support both tourism and business travel.
Tourism in Tromsø has grown significantly in recent years, while hotel capacity has remained limited. The last new hotel in the city opened in 2014 when The Edge welcomed its first guests.
Skaret by Vander adds new accommodation capacity to the city and reflects a broader shift toward apartment-based stays that support both tourism and business travel.
“We see that more travellers want to stay in apartments when they travel. It was therefore natural for us to respond to the market and establish a modern apartment hotel where guests can live as they would at home.”
